Snowbirds returning from Northern climes will notice something new when they cross the Shave Bridge: where there was once an unattractive empty lot, now stands a new store in a beautiful new shopping center. The store and building are the vision of Drew Scott, owner of Scott & Sons Fine Jewelry.

Originally from Waycross, Drew grew up spending family vacations here, and his attachment to the island is deep. "We wanted to build on Amelia a jewelry store with superior customer service, a very welcoming atmosphere, and a price range to accommodate every budget." Drew and his staff enjoy helping people find just the right jewelry. "From helping a young couple choose the perfect rings, to helping another couple replace the original stone with a larger one after 50 years of marriage, we’ve had many gratifying experiences."

And what about the sons of Scott & Sons? "This is a real family business," says Drew. "My wife Parker has a degree in interior design and she puts her touch on the displays, and I hope our sons will be proud of the business, and maybe even take it over one day."

Four-year-old Carson already likes to spend time at the workbench, and seven-year-old Spain frequently asks Daddy about sales!
